Dak Prescott pledged $1,000,000 for police training in pursuit of eliminating racism, following the cruel death of George Floyd.
In a recent Instagram post, the Cowboys Quarterback shared a heartfelt set of photos expressing his sentiments on the prevalent social injustices against African-Americans.
PRESCOTT CALLS EACH PERSON TO BE RESPONSIBLE
Dak Prescott’s post showed his emotions of disgust by the brutal killing of George Floyd in the hands of Minneapolis police officers.
Prescott invited everyone to seek a greater purpose and pointed out what each person can do to acknowledge the importance of all lives. He wrote:
“It is our obligation to tell our neighbor how much they matter to us and take a stand for the greater good of each other.”

In pursuit of such, the 26-year-old mentioned the need to hold communities accountable, teaching one another of differences, embracing different cultures and ways of life, and having a multi-racial country.

A PLEDGE OF $1 MILLION
In the social media post, the Dallas Cowboy took the time to call out law enforcement authorities, putting pressure on the reality that change begins with them.
“When you chose to wear the badge of a police officer, you pledged to PROTECT life and property through the enforcement of our laws and regulations.” wrote the 2017 rookie of the year.
The stellar football player admitted to battling anxiety as he faced life beyond football amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
Nevertheless, he has chosen to rise higher, finding a mission for himself as he joins the advocacy that aims to eliminate racism.
As a believer that looting or violence is not the answer, the former Best Breakthrough Athlete ESPY Awardee ended his post with a pledge worth a million dollars.
While not citing the recipient of the amount, Prescott disclosed its purpose to “improve police training and systemic racism.”
