MEETING JORDAN
Jordan met Prieto in 2008 after he had divorced his first wife, Juanita Vanoy, in 2006. Reportedly, the two felt instant chemistry when they met at a nightclub and moved in together the following year.
The NBA star proposed to Prieto in 2011 and tied the knot during a star-studded and extravagant wedding ceremony two years later at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach.
THE GRAND WEDDING
Their private event had 300 attendees, including Robert Thicke and Usher, who both performed at the wedding, Spike Lee, Tiger Woods, and Patrick Ewing. Following the ceremony was a lavish reception at Bear's Club in Jupiter that ended with a beautiful fireworks display.
For her nuptials, Prieto wore a French silk J'Aton Couture mermaid style gown that was detailed with lace and embellished with Swarovski crystals. The dress also had French seamed crinoline borders that trailed into a train.
It is reported, Jordan and Prieto's wedding cost $10 million, although a nice gesture from the couple resulted from the celebration. Instead of wedding gifts, the pair asked guests to make donations to the James R. Jordan Foundation.
EXPANDING THE FAMILY
In 2014 they welcomed twin daughters Ysabel and Victoria. At the time, Jordan was 50-years old, and Prieto was 35-years-old. A representative for the couple sent a statement to US Weekly about their daughter's birth saying:
"Yvette Jordan and the babies are doing well and the family is overjoyed at their arrival."
Ysabel and Victoria have three older siblings, who Jordan had with his first wife, Juanita Vanoy. His eldest son, Jeffrey, was born in 1988, followed by Marcus James in 1990, and Jasmine Mickael in 1992.
